Mills County sits in the Loess Hills. The soil is wind-deposited silt, and it holds a near-vertical face until water finds a path through it. Then it goes.
That is why so many acreages here have the same three problems: a driveway that keeps washing, a low spot that never dries out, and a hillside quietly losing a foot a year. None of them get fixed by mowing more often.
Fix the dirt first. Everything else is mowing around a problem.
We operate out of a building on Railroad Avenue in Glenwood with commercial mowers, our own trailers and a full-time crew. That is the difference between a service you can put on contract and a guy with a trailer who might answer in July.
It also means the same faces come back every week. Nobody has to be re-told where the septic lid is or which corner floods.
